Glasgow University installs electronic resource management module
Innovative Interfaces has announced that its Electronic Resource Management module has been installed and is in operation at the Glasgow University Library in Scotland. Electronic Resource Management is a tool for digital resource integration and licence management. Fully integrated with Millennium or available as a stand-alone system, Electronic Resource Management replaces the need for libraries to build separate databases, integrating the information with the Millennium system and enabling data to be conveniently accessed as needed. It effectively controls subscription and licensing information for licensed resources such as e-journals, abstracting and indexing databases, and full-text databases.
Innovative Interfaces integrates MAP and CrossRef
Innovative Interfaces has joined the CrossRef organisation as an affiliate member. This partnership seamlessly integrates WebBridge – a component of the MAP (Millennium Access Plus) portal solution – with DOIs (Digital Object Identifiers) and CrossRef linking to assist libraries in providing complete access to available resources. MAP, which manages access to information resources, is made up of three key modules: WebBridge, MetaFind, and Web Access Management. WebBridge offers a smart linking capability, enabling libraries to link information resources together when appropriate. MetaFind is a universal search interface that allows access to multiple resources with a single search, returning all results in a consistent interface. Finally, Web Access Management is a remote-patron authentication tool that links patrons anywhere in the world directly to external Web servers and databases.
