While not intending to be comprehensive, this bibliography covers an international output. The interpretation of “local studies” has been widened to include related material. Annotations are provided where possible. Entries arranged in author order are grouped under the following headings: general; collection management; services and activities; materials; ICT and local studies; partnerships and co‐operation; author and place indexes. The ICT and local studies section covers 16 pages divided into: general (40 references); digitisation (27 references); Internet (10 references) and CD‐ROMs (five references). This section covers 1983‐2000.
