Royal College of Nursing Library wins major award
The Library and Information Services at the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) has received a Library Association Publicity Award for its innovative promotion of new electronic services to RCN members. The award was presented by Bernard Naylor, President of the UK Library Association. The RCN Library and Information Service was highly commended for its work in the "Multimedia and Web page publicity" category. The RCN is working with Blackwell Publishing and Health Communication Network to deliver a new service which offers all RCN members unlimited personal access to the British Nursing Index (BNI Plus) – a database indexing over 220 core nursing journals, as well as access to journals such as the Journal of Advanced Nursing and the Journal of Clinical Nursing.
