Significance
Two days earlier, India’s Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) announced a seemingly key development regarding the India-China border stand-off in the western Himalayas that began in 2020: an agreement on “patrolling arrangements along the Line of Actual Control”.
Impacts
- Joint ventures with the Indian side holding a majority stake will increase in Indian sectors Delhi deems non-sensitive.
- Indian imports of Chinese components will rise.
