For the first time, the 2008 British Pig and Poultry Fair will encompass all members of the supply chain with some significant changes and developments for the event, which is held on May 13 and 14, 2008 at Stoneleigh Park. The leading industry event, organised by the Royal Agricultural Society of England, forges new ways to address the deepening challenges faced in the pork, poultry meat and egg markets, not least the increasing feed prices and environmental responsibilities. Producers can no longer operate in isolation from the rest of the supply chain; there has to be understanding and co-operation between producers, processors and retailers, both up and down the food chain.
