This was an excellent conference for health professionals and anyone with an interest in nutrition as it has a wealth of topical updates. Also it was an inexpensive conference making it affordable for everyone.
The programme included: cancer new revelations for diet and lifestyle, exploring the new diet and cancer expert report published by WCRF. Recommendations for cancer prevention, highlighting the science behind the report and the new recommendations.
There were also satellite sessions on:

The Science the latest research into the portfolio diet approach for cholesterol management with data from new soya protein meta-analyses relevant to Europe was presented;
- •
novel and proactive approaches to better health;
- •
eye health and nutrition what is the evidence?;
- •
from training to competition: fuelling athletes for success;
- •
managing PCOS with diet and lifestyle what is the evidence?;
- •
pre- and pro-biotics from childhood to older age (including management or diarrhoea);
- •
pregnancy: an update in dealing with yo yo dieting and obesity pre and during pregnancy and where we are in the folate debate;
- •
CVD Diabetes and Weight Management helping to combat these conditions with the latest lifestyle strategies; and
- •
H.E.A.R.T, UK sessions included a review of the evidence for various lifestyle approaches with case studies for each condition. A special session was devoted to exploring useful strategies and resources to tap into.
There was also a small exhibition of organisations including:
