For over 20 years the IFST Guide "Food and Drink Good Manufacturing Practice: A Guide to its Responsible Management" (GMP) has been widely recognised as an indispensable reference work for food scientists and technologist. The 5th edition is now available as a fully functional PDF (e-Book). The print edition was published in March 2007 and has been widely welcomed by experts and opinion leaders in government and the food industry (see www.ifst.org) and includes supportive forewords from Rt. Hon Margaret Hodge, MBE MP, Minister for Industry and Regions, and Dame Deidre Hutton CBE, Chair of the Food Standards Agency.

The new GMP 5 e-Book has been produced for IFST by IFIS an independent, non for profit organisation that provides high quality information products and services such as Food Science and Technology Abstracts to food corporations, universities and government departments worldwide. The e-Book is supplied in the widely used Adobe PDF format and functionality includes internal links within the Guide to relevant sections, diagrams and definitions as well as links to external resources such as legislation websites and other documents.
