Further to the astounding success of gluten-free Glutafin Select Fresh White Bread, Glutafin has more great news for people with coeliac disease and dermatitis herpetiformis with the announcement of the launch of Glutafin Select Fresh Brown Bread. New Glutafin Select Fresh Brown Bread is not only high in fibre but it is also high in calcium and a source of iron. A daily serving of four slices contributes 9.6g of fibre to the diet approximately half of the recommended average daily adult intake of 18g, as recommended by the Department of Health. A daily serving will also contribute 430mg of calcium (approximately 53 per cent of the Recommended Daily Allowance (RDA)) as well as 2.61mg of iron (18 per cent of the RDA). Glutafin Select Fresh Brown Bread is baked to order and delivered directly from Glutafin's dedicated gluten-free bakery to customers via their pharmacist. It is sliced and ready to eat straight from the pack, stays fresh for up to eight days and is suitable for home freezing. Patients can order it on prescription in cases of eight loaves.
