Exhibition interest gathers pace
The Food & Meat Expo/Foodtech 2005 was held in Telford over 7 and 8 September 2005. As well as showcasing many of the latest products and services in the food and meat industry, there were twice daily product/cutting demonstrations sponsored by the Meat & Livestock Commission, Weddel Swift and RAPS (UK).
The exhibition was hosted the long established major UK craft butcher competitions, organised by the National Federation of Meat & Food Traders, featuring the National Sausage Competition and the National Pie & Pasty Competition. This year for the first time, there was also a National Burger Competition.
The Society of Food Hygiene Technology’s annual Foodtech conference will base its seminars on “going back to basics” and covered elements of pest control, cleaning, HACCP and legislation, to name just a few subjects.
