CPHV Annual Professional Conference
CPHV Annual Professional Conference
16-18 October 2003, Harrogate
This is an important event for Heath Visitors and all community nurses and was attended by over 2,500 delegates over the three days.
There was an action packed programme with concurrent sessions and fringe workshops. The topics were wider than nutrition and included all aspects of health.
However, a number of presentations involving nutrition were also included:
- •
Working with fathers in maternity services.
- •
Cool to be healthy – an outreach project promoting health to young people.
- •
ADHD – intolerance of childhood playfulness or an emerging public health problem.
- •
Posseting and reflux in infants – causes and management.
- •
Constipation in children – causes and management.
- •
Making a difference in primary care.
A large poster presentation of various projects was in place.
There was also a vast exhibition, one part of which was for commercial organisations and another for self-help and charities. The exhibitions were extremely popular and well attended by delegates.
