New Vegetarian Society video

New Vegetarian Society video

The Vegetarian Society has made a new video aimed at secondary school students and their teachers. It offers a lively introduction to vegetarian issues and focuses on nutrition, food preparation and recipe suggestions. The sound-track for the video features several tracks from the musician Moby's bestselling album. The sleeve notes contain an essay on veganism by Moby, in which it stresses that when vegans give up meat and animal based products it is difficult to know what to replace them with. Vegetarian Nutrition meets this need by helping young people to understand what constitutes a well balanced vegetarian diet. The video complements the GCSE project pack already available from the Society, part of its lively youth education programme which includes project packs, leaflets, posters, a video lending library and a virtual schoolroom at www.vegsoc.org The new video is available from the Vegetarian Society and costs £5 plus £1 postage and packing. Cheques should be made payable to The Vegetarian Society.
