New health Web site for teenagers
A new health information Web site, Mind, Body and Soul, was launched at the Schools Resources Exhibition at the end of 1999. The Web site has up to date information on a wide variety of health topics including drugs, alcohol and mental health. It links to at least another 100 health Web sites and gives details about a wide range of medical conditions including acne, ME, diabetes, asthma and anaphylaxis. The Web site has been developed specifically for pupils aged 14 to 16. Mind, Body and Soul is a major part of the Government's drive to make all schools healthy, which not only improves the health of pupils and the community but it can also ensure that young people learn about the key factors which affect their own health. Young people can visit the Web site and send ideas and examples of healthy school activities. The Web site can be found at: www.mindbodysoul.gov.uk
