Marks & Spencer is continuing sponsorship of The Food Foundation's Food Directory Web site www.foodirectory.co.uk, which aims to be the most authoritative and comprehensive digital reference source for information, advice, facilities and services relating to education about food and drink. Established at the beginning of 1999, the emphasis has been on making the site more effective and accessible in response to feedback from teachers and other users. This process has included a major expansion and updating of the database in order to improve key name cross-referencing. The Food Directory is continuing to be publicised to teachers and schools and now also to other groups such as the media, non-food teachers, pupils, governors, educational and governmental organisations, parents and the food industry. All people who visit the site are being urged to let the Directory have their comments and suggestions so that the service can be improved still further.
