New meat alternative

Khero is a new meat-free food for those who like the taste of meat but wish to choose a vegetarian alternative. Khero is made from soya, its protein content matches that of egg white, milk and meat but it is 95 per cent fat free and completely free of saturated fat. Khero is produced in a water-based manufacturing process which leaves the nutritional value of the soya protein isolate intact. It has been developed into a range of products, alternatives to ham, bacon, burgers, frankfurters, pepperoni-style pizza toppings and chicken-style nuggets by the company Foodshaper.
