Services Global Awards

MSQ’s role in the field of services management is stronger today than ever before. As part of its leadership role as an innovator, MSQ has a responsibility to support and recognize any person, firm or institution that contributes to the enhancement of the present body of knowledge and practice in the field of services management. This requires that MSQ identify and recognize authors and practitioners for their contributions to both theory and practice in every aspect of services management. It is thus imperative that we extend MSQ’s recognition awards beyond that of the best paper and highly commended awards for publication in MSQ and at conferences. MSQ will administer a “Services Global Awards” (SGA) program from 2006 which will identify:

  • authors who publish services focused articles;

  • books (both academic and non-academic); and

  • firms/institutions that pioneer leadership and innovation in services.

The awards will fall under four categories, namely:

  1. 1.

    Services Global Award for the Best Paper and two highly commended awards.

  2. 2.

    Services Global Award for the Best Book and two highly commended awards

  3. 3.

    Services Global Award for leadership and first and second runner up.

  4. 4.

    Services Global Award for innovation and first and second runner up.

A group of researchers and practitioners will serve as an award committee in nominating the annual Services Global Award winners.
