New range of linked LEDs
Dialight Lumidrives, the UK-based LED technology provider, has launched a new range of LinkLED products based on the company's original LinkLED RGB system.
Introduced following considerable customer feedback, LinkLED X offers the ability to control a line of LEDs extending over a considerable distance. It brings new benefits including multichip technology which enables colour mixing at source. It is now ideally suited to interior and exterior feature lighting as an option exists to supply LinkLED as IP67 rated.
New LinkLED X expands the flexibility and performance of the original LinkLED system. It is more compact, quicker and easier to install than previously, and is designed for OEMs who require a simple plug and play solution.
Benefits include less fringing, it is ideal for direct view applications, strips of 6 or 12 modules can be supplied preassembled, an integrated heatsink for direct mounting to any surface is standard and cabling spacing can be supplied at 300mm intervals.
The patent pending optics system also allows for greater spacing in cove lighting applications. LinkLED X is supplied ready to use complete with plug and socket connections together with pre-assembled connecting leads.
Other features include long lamp life, typically 50,000h and compact form factor. A range of compatible drivers is available together with an on board series return connection.
The new LinkLED X system is ideal for use with back lighting, cove and cornice lighting, orientation and accent lighting, under counter/bars/reception desks, light fixtures, handrails and channel letter signage.
Dialight Lumidrives is the illuminations division of Dialight Plc, one of the world's largest suppliers in the field of applied LED technology.
Dialight Plc operates in two principal segments; components, where low- brightness LEDs are used for status indication in electronic equipment, and signals/illumination utilising the latest high-brightness LED technology for traffic and rail signals, obstruction lighting, hazardous location lighting and developing applications in more general illumination markets.
