Media Lario receives 12 million series – a funding led by TLcom Capital Partners and DFJ ePlanet Ventures

Media Lario International S.A., has announced a 12 million equity financing co. – led by TLcom Capital Partners and Draper Fisher Jurvetson ePlanet Ventures, along with substantial participation from Intel Capital, Vision Capital and Quan Ventures. In addition, Media Lario has named Dr Giovanni Nocerino, formerly of Therma-Wave, as its new Chief Executive Officer.

Dr Arnoldo Valenzuela, Media Lario's Chairman of the Board and Chief Scientist commented, "I'm thrilled at the vote of confidence this investment represents in our team and, primarily, in the enabling opto- mechanical capabilities of our high accuracy reflective mirrors, developed over the last 10 years in close collaboration with the European Space Agency (ESA), and targeted at applications in New Generation Lithography (EUV) and Metrology."

"This funding will enable Media Lario to enhance and accelerate the development and commercialisation of high accuracy reflective mirrors and mirror systems to meet the ever stringent optical performance and cost of the current and Next Generation Lithography equipment (EUV)," stated Giovanni Nocerino, newly appointed President and CEO of Media Lario. "In addition, this financing will enable Media Lario to sustain its leadership position in the Space and Defence market, as well as a augment its participation in the Free Space Optical Telecommunications and advanced MEMS market segments."
