Asymtek recently named Lisa Ryan general manager for Europe. Ryan is responsible for European sales, applications development and service support. She oversees a team of 30 employees and also manages the European distribution network (see Plate 1).

Her goals are to ensure the European team is well equipped to support its relationships with existing customers and to bring Asymtek's technology to developing markets throughout the European continent. "Flip chip devices continue to evolve as the interconnect method of choice for high-speed semiconductors", she explains, "and Asymtek's dispensing technology will meet our customers' requirements for packaging semiconductors".

Prior to joining Asymtek, Ryan worked in engineering management for 14 years with Dexter Electronic Materials. She also worked for Proctor and Gamble, receiving top-notch practical training on organizational and personnel management procedures. Ryan has published many papers and articles on advanced semiconductor processes. She has an engineering degree from Lafayette College in Pennsylvania and an MBA from the University of California, Los Angeles.
