Engineer Michael Kratzer (Dipl.-Ing.) has recently been appointed European sales manager at Datacon Semiconductor Equipment, Radfeld, Austria. Before he joined the company, he worked in various functions for Siemens at its Nürnberg-Moorenbrunn site for nine years.
Michael Kratzer studied electrical engineering at the University of Erlangen, Germany. During his career he has worked as a project manager in the fields of automotive component supply, electrical engineering and semiconductors (back end) in Siemens's Automation division, and as system manager for Siemens automation systems in the back-end segment. Finally, he worked in worldwide sales of these systems.
At the end of 1999 he moved to Datacon as key account manager for customers Siemens, Infineon and Osram.
From his many years with Siemens, Mr Kratzer brings to his new position an entrepreneurial and strategic mindset as well as problem-solving ability. He also has several years' experience working together with Kulicke & Soffa Industries.
