Keywords Neohm, Thick film, Hybrid circuits

A recent entrant into the UK contract electronics manufacturing sector is Oldham-based Neohm, who design and manufacture thick-film hybrid circuits in a 6,000 sq.m., ISO 9002 approved plant in Torino. Currently employing some 90 staff, the Italian company Neohm Componenti was established in 1990 to serve the European industrial, consumer and military markets.

The UK activities for Neohm were stepped up earlier this year by the appointment of Malcolm England, who was prevously sales manager of Menvier Hybrids.

Single, double-sided and multilayer circuits are produced on a wide variety of substrates including alumina and aluminium nitride. A recent development is the use of stainless steel substrates which have found wide application in the automotive and white goods fields.
