semiconbay.com, the semiconductor industry's comprehensive technical Website, announces the addition of Lisa Michael to their staff as director of member services. Ms Michael has extensive experience in the semiconductor industry. One of Lisa's chief functions is to ensure that www.semiconbay.com is actively filling and serving the technical needs of the semiconductor community.

Ms Michael was director of business development at Time Domain, a process engineering startup company, prior to joining semiconbay.com Other positions included member of the technical staff at Watkins-Johnson Company, product marketing engineer with Avantek, process engineer at Advanced Micro Devices, and she also taught advanced placement physics. Lisa has a patent pending in the area of polycrystalline thin film deposition. She is a task force leader in the Metrics Committee of SEMI Standards, was the 1999 Chair of the Northern California Chapter of the American Vacuum Society's Thin Film Users Group and is the Local Arrangements Chair for the American Vacuum Society's 48th International Symposium to be held in San Francisco in October, 2001. Ms Michael has an MA in education and an MS in materials science and engineering from Stanford University and a BS in materials science and engineering from Cornell University.
