Formed as a result of the takeover by Dage of its well established distributor in Japan, Arctek, the new company, Dage-Arctek, is located in Chiba City, close to Tokyo, where fully-trained staff provide sales, demonstration, and customer support services. Included in this support are customer training, installation, scheduled maintenance and repair and calibration functions.

With similar operations located in Singapore and the Philippines, the establishment of Dage-Arctek in Japan reflects Dage's on-going commitment to providing support for its growing customer base in Asia, a region already accounting for over 60 per cent of its Bondtester sales.

"Our Bondtesting equipment is extremely well established in the global semiconductor and hybrid industries", said Alan King, Dage's international sales manager responsible for Bondtest products. "However, we are now seeing increased interest among mainstream electronics manufacturers, particularly those engaged in producing miniaturised consumer products embodying chip scale packages. Hence our move into Japan."

Dage has also implemented changes in Europe. The company's German office, which previously handled consumables only, is now positioned to handle sales and support for the full range of Dage Bondtester equipment destined for semiconductor, hybrid and other electronics manufacturing operations in Germany and the Benelux countries.

Company profile

Established in the early 1960s and located in six strategic centers in Europe, the USA and Asia, Dage supplies the semiconductor industry with "state of the art" products and services, helping customers to manufacture more easily and with greater efficiency. Dage's market leading micro-mechanical test systems, developed and manufactured in-house, are used throughout the semiconductor, hybrid and leading-edge electronics industries for both quality control and research investigations.

The success of the company has been built on good customer relations, with the development team giving users what they want, when they want it. The team is continually introducing new developments to meet ever evolving user needs.

In addition to the company's own offices in the USA, Singapore, Philippines, Japan, UK and Germany, Dage's network of agents and distributors provides sales, service and support on a global basis.
