EFMD Outstanding Doctoral Research Awards 2007

Article Type: EFMD Outstanding Doctoral Research Awards 2007 From: Management Decision, Volume 46, Issue 9

This issue contains three of the papers that won Outstanding Doctoral Research Awards during 2007. Emerald and the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD), a global membership organization with more than 700 institutional members from academic, business and public services, seek to celebrate excellence in research by sponsoring the annual Emerald/EFMD Outstanding Doctoral Research Awards.

The awards were open to those who had completed examination requirements for a Doctoral Award between 1 June 2005 and 1 October 2007. As the quality of submissions was exceptionally high this year, the judges have had the very difficult task of scrutinizing the applications in order to decide who should be given a prestigious award.

Management Decision annually sponsors the “Management and Governance” category, and this year selected ten papers for special mention.
