Argues the need for a concept that integrates the aspects of knowledge management within the framework of any implementation project. Introduces the knowledge network concept as a platform to implement robust processes, to provide the basis of a sustainable management of organizational knowledge and trigger continuous learning. Examines the characteristics of systems implementation within the remit of organizational knowledge, covering the effects and side-effects of system implementation and the end-user trap. Claims that the concept of the knowledge network provides an enterprise with a framework to facilitate the generation of organizational knowledge on a broad scale.
