As usual at this time of year, there is plenty of activity in terms of staff development events. The Career Development Group of the Library Association has several sessions organized in the regions, as follows:

The North & South Thames region of the CDG have announced details of two new evening seminars for Autumn 1999:

  • First steps to management. Trainer: Sheila Corrall. Date: 6-8pm, 12 October 1999.

  • Equal opportunities and employment law. Date: 6-8pm, November 1999, to be confirmed.

The Yorkshire and Humberside Division are offering the following:
