The Association of Assistant Librarians, aka the Career Development Group, have announced that their 1998 National Conference will be on the topic of Skills and thrills: the role of the information professional into the 21st Century. The conference will be held at Elstree, North London on 15-17 May 1998. Speakers will cover diverse topics including project management skills, understanding PR, and research skills. Further information will be available nearer the time.
