Public Lecture – Series 2010-2011“The brains behind business”

Article Type: News, conferences and technical reports From: Kybernetes, Volume 40, Issue 3/4

The public lecture “The brains behind business – what neuroscience can tell us about business failure and success” was held at the University of Reading, UK, Wednesday 9 February 2011. It was delivered by Professor Doug Saddy (Clinical Language Science) and Dr Kevin Money (Henley Business School, The John Madejski Centre for Reputation).

The lecturers discussed:

Can looking at your brain determine how successful you can be? What makes a good leader? How do leaders impact the failure and success of business? What can neuroscience tell us about how management decisions are made? Using real examples of business, this talk will examine how the brain handles information in order to make decisions, how this affects business leaders today and how we choose our leaders in the future.

A full review of the event and lecture will be published in a coming issue of Kybernetes.
