Important dates

  • February 10, 2011 – submission of invited sessions proposals.

  • March 10, 2011 – deadline for submission of full papers.

  • April 15, 2011 – acceptance/rejection notification.

  • May 31, 2011 – submission of final camera-ready papers and congress fee.

Submission of papers

  • Submissions should describe original completed or ongoing research work not submitted or published elsewhere.

  • The submitted full papers should be prepared according to the templates available at: http://wosc-congress.nuaa.edu.cn

  • Accepted full papers should be no longer than eight pages.

  • Accepted papers will be given 15-20 min for the presentation and discussion.

  • Accepted papers will be published in the Proceedings of the 15th International Congress of Cybernetics and Systems of WOSC. The proceedings will be available at the congress.

  • The author responsible for correspondence, including the author’s name, telephone, fax number, and e-mail address, has to be identified.

  • One of the authors of each accepted paper should register and present the paper at the congress.

Address for submission

Congress fee

The fee for the participants will be €250. It covers admittance to all sessions, single copy of CDROM Proceedings, refreshments, and social events. The congress fee is exclusive of accommodation charges.

Contributions cannot be included in the proceedings, unless registration, full payment, and full texts are received by May 31, 2011. This deadline should be strictly respected.

Congress language

The working language of the congress is English.

Copyright

Extended versions of selected papers will be published in Kybernetes (the official journal of the World Organisation of Systems and Cybernetics), The Journal of Grey Systems (published in England in English), Journal of Grey Systems (published in Taiwan in English), or in Transactions of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (published in China in English). The editors of the journals will take the final decisions about the publications after the papers have undergone a usual reviewing procedure.

Accommodation

Information about a hotel reservation will be available by May 31, 2011. Details will be announced on the congress web site.

Congress venue

The 15th International Congress of Cybernetics and Systems of WOSC will take place at Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics.

Nanjing is a famous historic city described as “a birthplace of southern beauties and a habitat of royal rulers” by ancient Chinese poets, ranks as one of the six major ancient Chinese capitals. Nanjing, a city with “a curling dragon and a crouching tiger”, is nestled amid green mountains and forests and water bodies. And the ten great scenic areas have formed the beautiful tourist sceneries of Nanjing.

Foreign visitors are offered direct international plane connections to Nanjing, Shanghai (1 h to Nanjing by express train), Beijing (1.5 h to Nanjing by airplane), Hong Kong (2 h to Nanjing by airplane), or Guangzhou (1.8 h to Nanjing by airplane).
