13th World Congress on Systems and Cybernetics, Maribor, Slovenia, 6-10 July 2005
The 13th Triennial World Congress of the World Organisation of Systems and Cybernetics will be held, as forecast in the preliminary announcement of our last issue, at the University of Maribor, Slovenia.
The full “Call for Papers” which includes details of the theme “Systemic and Cybernetic Dealing with Innovation”, together with the deadlines for the submission of papers, and other arrangements, are included in the Special Announcements section of this issue. The Congress is jointly sponsored by WOSC and the Slovenian Systems Research Society (SDSR), whose President is Professor Matjaz Mulej of the host university, Maribor, Slovenia.
We are also pleased to announce that the 6th International Conference of Sociocybernetics will be an independent part of the 13th World Congress of WOSC. This conference is held under the auspices of the International Sociological Association: Research Committee 51 on Sociocybernetics, and has the theme “Sociocybernetics and Innovation”. The full “Call for Papers” which includes a conference theme explanation, details of participation, the review process and other information is published in the Special Announcements section of this issue.
