Preface
Bernard Scott and Ranulph Glanville are the Guest Editors of this tribute to Gordon Pask. To them has fallen the well nigh impossible task of compiling appreciations that would do justice to both the man and his significant and prodigious contributions not only to cybernetics and systems but also to the community in which he has lived and worked.
This they have done with great patience and skill, painstakingly conducting a dialogue with contributing writers and referees to ensure that the richness of his life's work and the versatility of his intellects are truly displayed and represented. We believe they have provided a worthy celebration of Gordon Pask's work together with valuable insights into his life, not only to those who knew him but also to those who will find inspiration for their own future endeavours.
