A "question and answer" session will also be held to enable researchers and those who aim to improve the means of communicating research and developments to have the opportunity to interact. (Kybernetes will be represented by its Editor and Internet Editor.)

  2. 2.

An award for the best contribution by a cybernetician/systemist presented at the congress.

Kybernetes Research Award: Outstanding Congress Contribution WOSC 11th Congress 1999. An innovative award which challenges contributors to the Congress, and in particular young scientists, who are currently undertaking leading-edge research in cybernetics and systems. The award will be decided by a panel of judges chaired by the Director General of WOSC.

The award will be for £250 together with a year's subscription to Kybernetes. The award winning contribution will be published in Kybernetes.

The award is to be sponsored by MCB University Press, the publishers of Kybernetes, the official publication of the World Organisation of Systems and Cybernetics (WOSC).
