AB  - The wave of new business and accounting laws and regulations that arose during 2002 were triggered by the actions of giant organizations – Enron, Global Crossing, Arthur Andersen, Tyco, and Merrill Lynch – representing a broad spectrum of industries. The alleged misconduct of the management of these enterprises fostered a new regulatory environment, the impact of which has reached beyond the practices and procedures of major, public companies.
