Abstract

In many respects, an investment adviser’s responsibilities regarding hedge funds (including offshore funds) are similar to the responsibilities the adviser owes to all advised accounts. However, in certain respects, where an adviser manages both hedge funds as well as other types of accounts (e.g., mutual funds, wrap fee programs, separate accounts), the adviser’s obligations and compliance considerations take on heightened importance.
