Call for case studies

The American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) is calling for case studies to be included in its "In Action" series. This case study series is designed to show real-world applications of issues involving the design, development, delivery, evaluation and management of human resource development and performance improvement programmes.

Potential authors submit a case proposal for review. If their proposal is accepted, the case authors work closely with the issue editor of the casebook to which they are contributing.

Currently, ASTD is offering the opportunity for authors to submit cases to eight publications on the following topics:

   chief learning officer;

2. 2.

   outsourcing training and development;

3. 3.

   Web-based training;

4. 4.

   recruiting, training and evaluating call centre employees;

5. 5.

   managing knowledge and intellectual capital;

6. 6.

   managing employee retention;

7. 7.

   career management strategies;

8. 8.

   performance analysis and consulting.
