Penny+Giles has extended its range of JC2000 joystick options with the launch of new output voltage ranges. Operating from a 5Vdc regulated supply, the JC2000X and JC2000XY versions can now be supplied with 0.5-4.5Vdc; 1.0- 4.0 Vdc and 1.1-3.9 Vdc output voltage spans. These additional ranges give OEMs greater flexibility when interfacing with machine controls, as well as increased sensitivity on the wider voltage ranges (Plate 4).

Using non-contact Hall-effect technology, JC2000 is a reliable, compact joystick controller used for precision fingertip control applications such as wheelchairs, robotic teach controllers, co-ordinate measuring machines, medical and CCTV equipment, professional cameras and radio/infrared chest packs used in the construction and materials handling industries.
Designed for smooth and accurate control, where safety and long life are primary requirements, the joysticks are exceptionally compact with a below mounting flange depth of only 31 mm – less than half the depth of comparable potentiometer joystick designs.
The competitively priced JC2000 also features an impressive environmental specification that includes sealing to IP65 above the panel, operating temperature of -25 to +70°C, a shock level of 40g and EMC immunity of 60 V/m.
For critical applications the single and dual-axis versions are available with two independent outputs in each axis that can be monitored and compared for failure detection in safety critical systems.
JC2000 is offered with a choice of three ergonomic handles and switch options. Penny+Giles offers an extensive range of joysticks as standard and can tailor the product to meet the customers exact requirements.
