Free CD ROM demonstrates principles of safety

A free CD ROM demonstrating the principles of safe machinery operation has been produced by interlocking specialist Fortress Interlocks. The interactive CD, entitled "The key to safety", is designed to help engineers and specifiers find a solution to machinery access and safety problems (see Plate 8). The new CD ROM enables customers to investigate a variety of interlocking designs and specific applications, including conveyors, robot cells, packing lines and chemical industry applications. All information is accompanied by clear diagrams and full technical specifications, allowing customers to view the wide range of options afforded by the Fortress interlocking range. Also included in the package is an "interactive photofit", in which customers specify their particular requirements and are presented with the safety solution to meet their needs. The Fortress range of interlocks includes the modular AmGard system and the KeyGard trapped key series. Both the AmGard and KeyGard ranges are featured on the new CD ROM, which also includes a series of videos and an interactive map providing information on distributors world-wide.
