Motoman Robotics (UK) Ltd has launched a completely new high-speed "washable" handling robot, the Motoman SV035 (see Plate 1).

The Motoman SV035 has been designed specifically to meet the strict hygiene requirements of the food industry and can be washed with detergent on a daily basis.

The new robot offers a combination of speed, flexibility of mounting, and has a footprint equal to that of a person to simplify installation.

A five-axis, 3kg payload robot (6kg option), it is offered with optional high-speed vision sensor and conveyor tracking. A standard motion pattern of 300mm x 25mm, which can be run in 0.7 of a second or less, combines with a reach of 650mm, a stroke of 361mm, and top ranking performance to ensure increased productivity.
