Imperial offers high frequency test rig for evaluating fuel lubricity
Imperial offers high frequency test rig for evaluating fuel lubricity
An oscillatory friction and wear test rig in linear motion in the following models:
- •
2 Place HFRR-e Model. Two station/ place fuel lubricity wear test machine mechanical test system.
- •
HFRR-Automated. PC controlled high-frequency reciprocating test rig for diesel fuel lubricity tests; uses an electromagnetic drive for oscillation.
- •
OFT. Fully automated oscillation, friction and wear test rig (translatory oscillation test rig), PC controlled high-frequency reciprocating test rig.
Standards
Imperial HFRR (all the models) are designed to conduct the following standard (and non standard)[1] tests:
For determining the lubricity of fuels and lubricants:
- •
CEC F-06-A-96: measurement of diesel fuel lubricity.
- •
ASTM D6079-97: standard test method for evaluating lubricity of diesel fuels.
- •
ISO 450: diesel fuel-assessment of lubricity using the high-frequency reciprocating test rig.
- •
ISO 12156-1:1997 diesel fuel- assessment of lubricity using the high-frequency reciprocating test rig.
- •
EN 590: 1999 fuels- diesel requirements & test procedures.
OFT
- •
ASTM D5706 standard test method for determining extreme pressure properties of lubricating greases using a high-frequency linear- oscillation test machine.
- •
ASTM D5707 standard test method for measuring friction and wear properties of lubricating grease using a high-frequency linear- oscillation test machine.
- •
DIN 51834-1&2 tribological tests in the translatory oscillation apparatus Part 1&2 determination of friction and wear data for lubricating oils.
Imperial four ball EP and wear test M/C as per ASTM D4172, D2596, D2266, D2783, D5183, IP239
Imperial offers four ball test machines to conduct extreme pressure properties and wear tests as per variety of international standards. These machines come in a variety of configurations from economy model to fully automated two station multi-purpose four ball EP and wear test machines. These machines come with stand alone configurations to fully automated (state-of-the-art data acquisition package).
The other range includes tribology and petroleum test equipment such as: abrasion tester, pin on disc, thrust washer, scratch tester, multi-specimen, Timken type test machine, panel coking apparatus, rubber research test rig, block on ring test rig, fretting wear test rig.
