Independent oil analysis and lubrication training and consultancy firm Noria UK Ltd announces the launch of its new range of online training courses. More than ten affordable, flexible and easy to use online courses are available, aimed at helping engineers and technicians develop the necessary skills to run a world-class lubrication programme for their organisation. The courses are also geared towards attaining an international accreditation in machinery lubrication and oil analysis.

The online courses deliver Noria's proven strategies for extending machine and lubricant life and encompass “how to” results-based training and skill-building courses to meet the needs of today's industry professionals. Courses vary in price and duration with estimated time for completion ranging from 40 min to 13 h. A sample of the courses available includes “contamination control and monitoring”, “profit centred plant lubrication” and “oil sampling best practices”.

Noria's courses are built around the agenda for the International Council for Machinery Lubrication examination structure (www.lubecouncil.org), so companies can offer their maintenance staff an opportunity to gain further qualifications in their personal development. In addition, the flexible online format is convenient for companies around the world, allowing delegates to learn at their own pace. Participants can repeat a course as many times as desired during the year-long subscription period and receive a printable certificate on completion of the course. Because of the reduced overheads involved with online training it is possible for organisations to reduce training costs and at the same time improve productivity.

“Lubrication is a cornerstone of reliability within the plant. Trivialising the function and the role of lubrication is a guaranteed road to expensive manufacturing. In today's competitive marketplace with an emphasis on costs, this attitude to lubrication should not be tolerated,” explains Martin Williamson, Senior Consultant, Noria UK Ltd. “Our new online training courses provide participants with the same quality and fast track results organisations have come to expect from Noria's established offline courses but with the additional flexibility and cost effectiveness which the Internet enables.”

The courses require no additional software and will run effectively on PC, Mac or UNIX systems with an Internet browser and connection.
