–is the arresting title of an article with a novel twist. The author argues that the impending energy crisis will render the maintenance of digital files impossible because they need electricity. Print would survive for much longer. Reading the article leads one to the truly terrifying Web site: www.dieoff.org. This site publishes well researched articles on the coming crisis both energy and environmental generally. So perhaps conventional ILL has a future after all – except delivery will be by foot
