News from SUBITO – the cooperative resource for document delivery in Germany

The subito library service is created for German libraries as well as for libraries from abroad.

With subito library service participating libraries can offer a 72 hours delivery service (maximum processing time) for articles to its local users.

The following libraries can take part:

  • state libraries;

  • university libraries;

  • regional libraries;

  • vocational college libraries;

  • public libraries; and

  • special libraries (libraries from institutions which are primarily financed by public funds).

How does it work?

The library:

  • registers at subito;

  • orders at subito;

  • receives the delivery; and

  • pays the invoice.

Please note one restriction: The subito library service may not be used for commercial customers.

Cost of delivery

The delivery cost of articles in various formats is shown below:

  • Email/FTP. e3.00 for pages 1-20 and e0.10 for each additional page.

  • Post. e5.00 for pages 1-20 and e0.10 for each additional page.

  • Fax. e6.00 for pages 1-20 and e0.25 for each additional page.

These charges are valid for all suppliers.
