The Nordic/Baltic Union Catalogue of Serials (NOSP), which can be found at http://www.nb.no/nosp/english.html, contains references of approximately 350,000 serials in 1,000 Nordic and Baltic libraries. The database is updated quarterly and is a unique bibliographic and reference tool for locating, verifying and ordering Scandinavian and Baltic serials. Although NOSP covers all subject areas, the main emphasis is on natural science, medicine and social science. Searching in NOSP is free of charge.

There is also a built-in ordering service for article copies. The minimum fee for ordering is NOK 500 (approximately US$60) for transmitting 100 copies and NOK 5 (US$0.60) for each additional copy.

The NOSP Directory to Nordic and Baltic libraries is an annual publication which gives address information to the participating libraries. It also contains guidelines for interlibrary loans. The directory costs NOK 250 (approximately US$30).
