The Institution Recycling Network (IRN) has announced a major new program to promote the reuse of surplus furniture and other surplus property from colleges, universities, hospitals, independent schools, and other institutions. Using a new auction format Web site and direct connections with nonprofit organisations and other users of second-hand furniture and equipment, the IRN will provide an outlet for the broad range of surplus property that comes from the health care and educational community.
