The (UK) Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) is using a grant of £223,000 from the EU to promote energy efficiency in the UK and across Europe.

The two-year project, Trainrebuild, provides information to homeowners on ways they can make energy saving upgrades to their property.

RICS spokesperson Jerry Percy explained that the organisation is using a package of training materials and toolkits on how to make domestic buildings more energy efficient and the cost-effective building techniques that can be used to retrofit and improve a property.
