Each year, thousands of state employees in Florida are recognized for the hard work they do to save taxpayers money. The Davis Productivity Awards were given out to 55 individuals or groups this year. It is estimated that the 573 winners statewide accounted for $415 million in savings, increased productivity and revenue collections.
The winners included the Department of Children and Families, Department of Transportation and a DCF canine team from Florida State Hospital.
