Vision for Tanzania

The Tanzania Development Vision 2025 has assigned the industrial sector a very central role of transforming the economy from a low productivity agriculture to semi- industrialized one led by modernised and highly productive agricultural activities, which are effectively integrated and buttressed by supportive industrial and service activities, said Dr Ngasongwa, the Minister for Industry and Trade. He was speaking recently at an occasion to commemorate the sixteenth Africa Industrialisation Day.

“To enable the industrial sector to perform this noble goal, the sustainable industry policy does offer the strategic guidance required, the National Trade Policy and Small and Medium Enterprises Development (SME) policy of 2003 further assists the predominant small scale enterprises and business in general in the industrial sector to develop into a robust sector,” he stated.
