Portable printers boost Calor Service

Calor Service, an Italian company specialising in the servicing of heating and air conditioning systems, has taken on portable printers from Extech to enhance performance of its service technicians.

When technicians are in the field carrying out inspection visits, every module in the system must be manually checked and recorded. In the past, handwritten test results were sent to the office administrator, leaving room for error in interpretation of what was written.

Technicians are now equipped with portable computers and Extech mobile printers so that at the end of a visit an inspection report can be printed out for the customer and signed by the technician. This saves time by eliminating the need to explain details to customers, it ensures everything is clearly readable so that room for error is reduced, and it eliminates the need for re-keying of information.
