UK managers could soon have the opportunity to benchmark themselves against the top business motivators in the world. The Chartered Management Institute has been working with the DTI (the Government Department for Trade and Industry) Innovation Group to distinguish what singles out truly inspirational leaders from the rest. What the project is seeking to establish are the specific personal drivers and characteristics of these exceptional motivators, as identified by the leaders themselves and those they lead. The findings will be used to draw up The Inspirational Leadership Index against which managers will be able to see how they measure up.
