The QuickShip program capitalises on time – perhaps the most valuable commodity. Network Power customers require energy storage for such applications as telecommunications, UPS, electric utilities, railway, and photovoltaics. Motive Power applications utilise energy storage as a primary source of power in electric material handling vehicles and trucks, wheelchairs, cleaning vehicles, and personnel carriers. "Now that the QuickShip program is in place, Exide's most comprehensive portfolio of products are being delivered at record on-time levels", said Bregman. "For example, our Network Power customers now have quick-ship access to more than 1,000 different Absolyte battery types, and more than 80 per cent of the electric forklift trucks in use today by Motive Power customers benefit from the fast and dependable service that the QuickShip program offers".
