The Happy Projects’11 conference – “Projects & Corporate Social Resposnibility ” will take place in Vienna from May 12-13, 2011. This conference is Austria’s largest international conference on project management and offers a huge variety of presentations, panel discussions and different streams for practitioners as well as students and academics. One part of the Happy Projects’11 conference is the international student paper award for master and PhD students. EURAM 2011 will be held June 1-4 in the beautiful medieval city of Tallinn, Estonia. The International Research Network on Organizing by Projects (IRNOP) holds its research conferences on odd years and the next one will be held in Montreal Quebec from June 19-22 in 2011 (www.irnop2011.uqam.ca/). This organisation would be of great interest to PM researchers and their web site is: www.irnop.org/. The site provides links to other research organisations and forthcoming conferences of interest to PM academics and practitioners. Their web site lists the links to these conferences with dates for abstracts, submissions, etc.
The “Making Projects Critical” 6th International workshop on critical studies of project-based work, project management and the projectification of society and life at large will be held in January 21 and 22, 2011, Bristol, UK. A key concern of this workshop is to employ critical perspectives to analyse and evaluate the practice of project management and decision making as evidenced in the approval, governance and control of project work and project workers.
